About

What or Who is a THPO?

The Tribal Historic Preservation Office, or THPO, works to preserve Seminole historic sites and to better understand Seminole heritage. As a sister organization to the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, also under Chief Historic Resources Officer Tina Osceola, THPO is led by Willard “Bill” Steele from its base on the Big Cypress Reservation in Southern Florida.
